[P-p-p-oker Face]

Poker
台北市敦化南路二段63巷64號1樓
02-2708-7903
Subway: 捷運大安站 (Daan Station, MuZha Line)

Even though this little bar is located in one of the most lively areas of Taipei: 大安區 (Da An Area), it is out of sight and not along the main road. My friend and I accidentally found this place when we were just roaming around looking for a bar/lounge to chill.

This bar is Poker-themed. Once you step food into the establishment, you will find that they have covered every little detail with some kind of poker related intricacy.
They offer a variety of drinks from cocktails to beers to food.

Our first drink happened to be two B-52s.

Then we ordered two Coronas. Their coasters are made of two playing cards put together! Creative I must say.

Overall I like this place because it was very cozy. The place isn't too big, and since we went on a weekday, it was completely EMPTY! The music wasn't very loud, so it's a good place to bring your co-workers after a hard day's work and relax. There were also two plasmas hanging above for those sports fans. At that time it was the FIFA World Cup Season, so they were showing the game.

The service there was absolutely amazing. Careless me, accidentally left my jacket there, but they held on to it for me. I went back a week later to find out that that night, they even ran out to return my jacket, but I had left too quickly and was out of sight. :(

So if you're in the area, have a look! I assure you, the place will not bore you.

[A New Beginning]

InHouse
110台灣台北市信義區松仁路90號
02-2345-5549
Subway: 捷運市政府站 (Taipei City Hall, Exit 3)

In the summer of 2010, I've probably been to this place quite a few times. It was definitely a place where new beginnings flourished.

This hip and contemporary place is filled with mostly young adults, as expected since it is located near all the clubs (Lava, Rm18, Babe18, Barcode, etc.)

As you first step into the place, you see the patio with contemporary designed lounge areas to chat. It's a good break from the music inside.

Inside, the lighting is dim. On the left you see the bar, and towards the back you see more lounge areas to sit. For bigger parties (last time I came with 12+) there was a minimum charge of 5000NT, depending on which area you sit.

We came back often because the service was pretty good. All the bartenders were very friendly and all were able to speak English.

*Note: if you order drinks, ask to go get them yourself, usually it's HALF THE PRICE! (They'll charge for service).
